The food cooked. Just right spiced just right loved it

This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The food is great and I love that they serve "fixins" and bring little crocks of condiments to the table, rather than making you beg for little paper pill cups of tartar and cocktail sauce. The prices are very affordable. Service was OK. Deducted one star because interior could use an overhaul and the booth we sat in had tips and tears making it a little uncomfortable.

Delicious food, Friendly staff

This place is the bomb. A hole in the wall that serves gumbo, hush puppies and pickled green tomatoes with every meal. I eat here as often as I can. The fried shrimp is delicious!

I went through the drive through today for lunch. The food was excellent as usual, and the staff was friendly; the wait was a lot longer than usual, and I told them I didn't want the coleslaw or the green tomatoes which are standard with every order, but that I would like extra hush puppies instead. They did remove the coleslaw and green tomatoes like I asked, but not only did I not get the extra hush puppies I asked for, I didn't get ANY (3 come standard with every order).

My first, of hopefully, many more visits! The staff .....helpful and friendly. The restuarant...., was nice, comfortable and "VERY" CLEAN!The catfish was seasoned and fried very 👍. I highly recommend Catfish Kitchen to all catfish and seafood lovers.!!Perfect for take out family dinner or lunches during the day!

Great place and service is top notch. The men's room is a disaster the walls were nasty the urinal was not in good shape hell even the handicap handle had something on it really didn't want to use it.

I spent $20 on a large catfish/shrimp dinner and 2 drinks. It was NOT WORTH the money I paid for it. There weren’t even enough fries to constitute a large fry from McDonalds. Then I checked my debit card and they charged an additional $3 to my card. I guess they decided to add on their own tip. The food is cold. The fries have no salt and are not even fully cooked. I called to tell them and the lady on the phone was extremely RUDE! Once you realize you have an unsatisfied customer, you should try to do SOMETHING to accommodate them if you are a decent business. I will not be going there ever again. I am absolutely disgusted!!!!

Loved the fried oysters. Cooked just right with a touch of spice. The coleslaw was awesome so was the service. To be honest the gumbo tasted burnt but it was free so still a nice touch. Some do love the gumbo. I will return just for the oysters everytime i am in town though.

This is a family operated restaurant. The food and very tasty and was plentiful. I really liked the cocktail sauce. With a little spice and not sweet like so many places make. Loved the tea. The little cup of gumbo was a nice touch. The waitress was nice and efficent without being intrusive. Menu prices are moderate and nice quality and quantity. About the only issues I saw was a bit of a run down look on the seating. A little work here would help spruce up the place up. It seems many older folks like to eat here. The prices and the family atmosphere certainly will drawn them in. This place does not have the strict culture many want. But it is a down home and friendly place to eat.

Love love love this place! Great food...great service and very reasonable prices. The gumbo rocks and their oysters are perfect. And the hush puppies!!! If you leave there unsatisfied, it's all your fault.

We drive from Houston for the crabs! My favorite is their fried catfish, the sweet green tomatoes and of course their homemade hushpuppies! Everyone is so welcoming and helpful...truly make you feel like family ❤

Food tasted very good, especially the gumbo. My ONLY complaint is the portion size. I ordered a large catfish and chicken tender combo platter. Tenders were very small, catfish fillets were extra skinny, and hardly any fries on the plate. I've ordered this before and definitely not the size I've had before but because they were busy as usual on a Sunday and we really like this place, I chocked it up as just a bad experience this one time. Normally I would speak up but everyone is entitled to have a bad chance. But if you want great flavored seafood, then this is it.

Unlimited hush puppies! Great food and prices

I ordered the chicken fried steak.. Thing cost $10 figured it would be good size, it wasn't .. It also was extra greasy. The hush puppies they gave the table were cold. The best thing I ate was the coleslaw.. And it wasn't all that good. Likely will never go back

Quick service, good food, place isn't that fancy but we enjoyed our dinner. Hushpuppies are good flavor with a niche crunch, fried shrimp and catfish are crispy and not overcooked. Spouse enjoyed the tomato relish.

Gumbo was okay but the catfish was pretty good!

This restaurant has excellent fried catfish & shrimp. Hush puppies,slaw, green tomatoes, and a cup of gumbo are starters. The gumbo is a watery brown gravy with a few small shrimp in it. It is tasty. Overall they are consistent and the food is good. Building and decor antiquated.

Let me start by saying the food was good. The place is run down inside, booth cushions are tore up for the most part. Place just feels and smells dirty. When I was there the tables and seats were dirty. The two young women working were more interested in visiting than cleaning. They also had no clue as to how to waitress. The one bright spot was the blonde cashier with a great attitude.
